Who owns and runs the credit union?

Hartlepool Credit Union is owned and run by its Members who elect a Board of Directors at an Annual General Meeting. All Members have an equal vote in the running of the credit union.
 

What is a common bond?

Every credit union has to have a common bond Hartlepool Credit Union’s common bond is "Live or Work in Hartlepool", however common bonds could be people linked to the same church ,same employers,etc. 

 Are my savings secure?

The Credit Union is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) who ensure that we maintain adequate reserves to ensure the security of your money.
